Hi, my name is Tessa Duckett. I am a mother, wife, and leader who is driven and focused on family, faith, friends and career. I have a sense of community and giving back. I value team, people and opinions. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, going to the lake, reading, coffee, movies and cooking shows. I am proud of both of my children; my son just graduated from Pepperdine University; and my daughter just graduated from high school.
I am a University of Nevada, Reno, student, majoring in Business Management with an expected graduation date of Dec 2012.
I have over 15 years of experience LEADING teams. I have MANAGED over 70 employees for a major department store. I grew my cosmetic and fragrance business 60% during my career. I obtained this goal by ENGAGING my team to increase sales, customer service, and build relationships.
I truly believe that you are as good as your team and that you can only inspire and engage them by true CONNECTIONS. I have made my career through getting to know each of my employees on a personal business level, and care for their WELL-BEING.
I have been a HUMAN RESOURCES manager for two years, and I believe I have found my niche. There is so much influence you can have over employees, and again it starts with connections. How well you get to know your team will enable you to change CULTURE within your organization.
